One of Creation Day’s hottest tips for the festival next year is CAT SFX. A four-piece punk outfit fronted by the captivating Caterina Speranza, the band are currently getting ready to release their latest single: ‘Reunite’.
An explosion of pent-up energy and frustration at the current state of the world, the track was premiered byClash Magazine yesterday, who praised: “The potent songwriter fires shots from the sidelines, continually championing the underdog. New single ‘Reunite’ is a case in point: a reaction to the American right, it’s a plea for open-minded empathy wrapped up in a punk hymn.”
Currently signed to Alan McGee’s Creation 23 label, the new single will be officially released on 30th October 2020.
Speaking about the track, Cat says:
“I wrote ‘Reunite’ because I’m just so angry and fed up of the way the poor are treated; people being homeless in 2020 while the government line their pockets, people having to use food banks, the hypocrisy of this government, rent prices being so high that it’s almost impossible to afford accommodation, while the rich buy up all the houses and leave them empty, NHS cuts…. benefit caps, while politicians claim 100k food expenses, integrated racism, homophobia, and a giant orange clown being the president of the USA.”
Don’t miss Cat SFX performing at Creation Day festival on Sunday 30 May 2021.
